"Still Here, Even When Unseen" – Mixed Media Original

The tension lies between visibility and invisibility. Upon closer inspection, the seemingly empty surface reveals itself to be a delicate network of traces: folds in the fabric that were deliberately preserved during the painting process; layers of chalk and oil pastel; and a line that disappears and reappears. Two or three brief pricks mark a pulse, quiet yet unmistakable.

Thus, the radical reduction reveals concentration, not emptiness. The image points to what remains, even if it eludes the casual observer — it is an invitation to discover the essential in the unspectacular.
