"And Still, All This Matters" – mixed media original (framed)

This work embraces reduction. At first, the surface appears almost empty, resembling a tranquil field of off-white and beige tones. However, the closer you get, the more layers unfold. Traces of folds in the fabric, fragile embroideries, collage fragments, delicate overpainting and the unpredictable play of wood dust come to light, lying on the surface like sedimented memory.

The surface's stillness is broken by two small, almost imperceptible red accents that pulse like heartbeats, serving as reminders of the inevitable. Here, emptiness is not perceived as a lack, but as a presence. This is a breathing work that, in its reduction, reveals depth. It invites viewers to take their time and discover resonance in the almost invisible.
